A fenced, off-leash space on the east end of Ely, right next to the softball fields on Old Airport Road — open dawn to dusk, every day of the year.
The Ely Dog Park sits on city-owned land at 2100 Old Airport Road, right beside the Ely softball fields on the east end of town. The grounds are leased to the Ely Dog Park Association, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit made up of Ely dog owners.
The fenced area includes a separate small-dog section, poop stations, benches, a water station, and a shelter, all maintained by volunteers so the park stays safe and welcoming year-round.
Where we are: On the east end of Ely, just off Highway 1 on Old Airport Road, next to the Ely softball fields.
Who runs it: The Ely Dog Park Association, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in partnership with the City of Ely.
Hours: Open dawn to dusk, every day. Dogs must be at least 6 months old and wear a current license or rabies tag.
Cost: Free to visit — the Association raises its maintenance funds through donations.
Our purpose is to establish a fenced in, off-leash Dog Park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife. To develop a beautiful well maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park rules, restrictions, and educate the public. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the city of Ely, designed to satisfy the needs of dog owners and non-dog owners alike.
